Giving birth and being born brings us into the essence of creation, where the human spirit is courageous and bold and the body, a miracle of wisdom. ~Harriette Hartigan
Late Saturday afternoon on the 11th February 2017. It was a magical full moon; this full moon was the moon of Leo. Leo represents the opening of a new gateway and starting point into the energies of 2017. Eclipses act like the doorways into different energy paths, and are powerful enough to transform, shift and change the direction and flow of your life.
Inner goddess is a project that I had set myself at the start of the year to capture women every full moon of this year embracing their natural beauty. In this day and age it is very easy to get sucked into societies beauty standards. The idea of this project is to celebrate who we are, our bodies, our femininity and our “Inner Goddess”.
I had fourteen; beautiful, courageous sisters come down to the beach that afternoon. Some, who were comfortable being in front of the camera and some who were feeling quite vulnerable. I can’t thank these girls enough for embracing the situation. I feel so humble and grateful that they trusted me enough to photograph them in this way. It was truly a magical afternoon/night I will not forget. To see everyone come together, loving unconditionally was just incredible. We as sisters need to stick together and lift each other up instead of putting ourselves (and each other) down. Every single one of us is different and unique in our own ways. Self-love is not always easy, hey, I’m still learning. It takes practice, it takes time. Surround yourself with people who lift you up and make you feel good about yourself.
“The purpose of life is to find meaning in it, and to connect with others, and the only way to connect, is to be vulnerable.”~ Brene brown
As well as photographing, I also made a video and it just makes me smile every time I watch it. I hope it gives you a big grin and makes you feel all sorts of warm fuzzies! Also Interviewed some of the girls and asked them some deeper questions throughout the blog, give them a read!
It’s only the start of 2017. I can’t wait to meet more beautiful women throughout the year and witness each full moon rise.
"No one is you and that is your power"~ Dave Grohl
“Forsaken and deserted” We found ourselves in an overgrown yet very dandy little garden in which we felt intrigued by the house next door. Brooke being a curious spirit opened the door in which a key appeared to be left stuck. This house was something else, magic and interesting. It was empty, however we didn’t feel so alone. This house was living in its own way.

The Internal Road Trip Of A Radiohead
Spent a few hours in the afternoon with this gorgeous free spirited soul Sasha Baldwin. This was one of my favourite shoots, it was so much fun. Spent most the time watching this little fairy dance around and look amazing. The gold outfit was made by a new label called Deadledger and the stunning jewellery by Roadtrip Collective.
I did some video during the shoot too which turned out to be my favourite so far! Copy these links into a new webpage-
And a second video to show off more of the jewellery and music covered by Sasha's talented boyfriend - Jamaalstevens
This gorgeous couple agreed to do a styled wedding shoot with me and the day just turned out perfectly. Everyone actually stopped to congratulate them, it certainly felt like a real wedding.

Codi + Jack // STEVIE MAY
Spent a magical afternoon, shooting a styled wedding with a gorgeous couple Jack and Codi. First we went to Sunspace Cafe, a beautiful building in Doonan. It was almost as if I wasn't even there, they were both so natural. Later we went over to Emu mountain to get the last 30 minutes of the sunset to show off her gorgeous dress. Big collaboration, everyone put in amazing effort to pull off a beautiful shoot.

Embracing vulnerability // Nicole
“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.” ― Brené Brown
19th Jan 2017,
I photographed Nicole on her beautiful property, with a mixture of polaroid and digital. A quarter way through the shoot, her horse had gotten into the outdoor area and knocked a soft drink all over the outfits. I think we improvised pretty well.
"There is nothing more rare, nor more beautiful, than a woman being unapologetically herself comfortable in her perfect imperfection. To me, that is the essence of true beauty."~ Steve Maraboli

A bit about yourself?
I'm really really clumsy, I never eat my vegetables, but I'm trying to get better at that. I don't know whereabouts I fit in this world but I know it's somewhere. I am most definitely one of those cliche girls who moans about being born in the wrong era, answering questions about myself is harder than I imagined
Is there someone or something that inspires you?
Every person who has ever had a bad day and lived to see another
Where have you recently travelled and what was your favourite part? Any more travels for 2017?
I actually just got back from Indonesia last week, my boyfriend and I spent a month there in a little village Batu-karas Java. The culture in that particular village is incredible, it was very difficult at times to be exposed to such truths, about the world, my relationship with it and myself. A message I was urged to send to anyone who would listen captioned on an instagram post during my stay:
"It's absolutely insane to see just how lucky we are back home, yet how disgusting our culture can be, we are absolute spoilt brats. We will screw our noses up at people who have more than us, and those who have more look down on the ones with less. They have close to nothing here and they still have open hearts with kindness and whilst we walk through their home land dressed as western privileged people their eyes still shine when you share a smile with them. And here you become aware that it does not matter how much you have but what you have to offer as a person, how much heart you have to give. And just how little they want to take. I came here for a culture shock and that's what I've been handed to me, even away from the hustle of the city, in a remote town. And while I'm at it I urge those whom struggle with their mental health to make use of aswell as have gratitude for the facilities we have available in Australia aswell as the simple understanding and recognition we are given for it. To be treated as it is valid and that there is in fact help we can seek. While there is a very unfortunate stigma of people who deal with these same mental health disorders that are turned away from even families in sad cases and driven away from there city to be left to roam streets, homeless, hungry and rejected with no means of help due to lack of understanding and government funding for sufficient help. Please know that we are not alone in our civilisation, please understand that we are taken care of, and we are so painfully lucky. Written to you by spoilt, sooky, little dumb western girl."
So hard! If it comes down to it though "Where is my mind" By the Pixies will never fail me.
What do you enjoy doing? Hobbies/passion?
I enjoy art and expression of any form, I enjoy the study of people and how they come to be the individuals we each are. I'm a writer at heart. I've been infatuated by live music for as long as I can remember, I enjoy spending time with loving people.
Whats your opinion on social media? Is it negative or positive?
Both, like anything. Being someone so invested in the expression of people I think it is a positively universally beautiful way to express whatever you wish. I think it's a great platform for many businesses to grow. Negatively, unfortunately there are people on social who simply won't condone what they don't understand, everyone's worthy of their own opinion of course. Spread positivity!
Biggest life lesson?
Just be a fucking nice person, to everyone. We're all freaks, whether we like it or not. Be freaks together! Being a mean girl isn't cool, loving mean boys isn't either. Nothing heals the heart like a nice bath or a boogie to some 70's music
If you could do anything what would you do?
Adopt all the dogs in Indonesia and take care of them all and if I could do anything at all I would blow some crazy pretty pixie dust over the world that lets every women any shape or size come to the realisation that they're a fucking art piece and they are enough and I'm backing each and every one of them, I would also have Trump stand down and call back for Barack!
Plans for the near future?
Survive, daily. Hopefully travel again very soon. Learn to stop leaving empty pizza boxes in the fridge, sleep less in the morning, more during the night!

“Your light is seen, your heart is known, your soul is cherished by more people than you might imagine. If you knew how many others have been touched in wonderful ways by you, you would be astonished. If you knew how many people feel so much for you, you would be shocked. You are far more wonderful than you think you are. Rest with that. Rest easy with that. Breathe again. You are doing fine. More than fine. Better than fine. You’re doin’ great. So relax. "You are allowed to take up space. Own who you are and what you want for yourself. Stop downplaying the things you care about, the hopes you have. Own your passions, your thoughts, your perceptions. Own your fire. Stop putting your worth in the hands of others; stop letting them decide your value. Own saying no, saying yes. Own your mood, your feelings. Own your plans, your path, your success. Never back down from expressing yourself, from saying your name proudly. Never stop elbowing your damn way into this big world, because you belong here. You matter."

Mick & Mariel
A beautiful sun shining day. November 23rd 2016 Mick and Mariel tied the knot at the beautiful Twin Waters.
The day went so smoothly, Mariel being super calm and collected. A few highlights was watching Mick watch Mariel walk down the aisle, so much raw emotion, it was very hard not to tear up. Gifting their two beautiful children with sentimental bracelets, getting a mini bus down to the beach, having a drink, listening to the speeches at reception and everyone letting loose at the end. Mick had organised in honour of his father passing to share his last bottle of scotch with everyone at reception, each person did a 'cheers' to share the special moment.
